When you’re getting a termite inspection there are three things that you should keep in mind to ensure the inspection goes smoothly:
Easy Access: Make sure that the inspector has easy access to your house. If you have to do a bit of cleaning or debris removal so that the inspector has easy access to the foundation make sure you take care of all that before the inspector arrives.
Certification: Make sure that your inspector is certified to check for termites. There are classes that you need to take to learn about the movement, breeding, and behavior of the bugs if you’re to make an accurate assessment.
Be Prepared: Be prepared for bad news. A lot of people that are getting inspections already know they have a problem to begin with. Don’t be surprised if you hear that you have termites just be prepared to take care of the problem as quickly as possible.
